National Parks!

Updated: Mar 8

Glacier national park! Spent a while here with my family and got to see some really cool hikes. We did the 20 mile hike around Pitamakan pass and got to see some gorgeous scenery, and I couldn't have been prouder of my parents for trooping through the hike with me. On our last night, my sister and I drove into the park and got to see some gorgeous stars, and I even got a shooting star on camera.

Zion national park was beautiful! We got to hike the narrows which was one of my favorite hikes I've ever done. The geology there is just breathtaking

Grand Tetons! Absolutely breathtaking star and snow capped mountains here. I did get in the water for a bit but it was super cold. Beautiful hiking there

Yellowstone national park was so interesting! We saw all the geysers and hot spring which can be vivid colors. We also hiked up mount Washburn, and got to see lots of fun animals!

The smokies! Closest national park to my home. Spent many camping trips here and hiked various parts. Although it always feels really humid there, the density of trees bring about a lovely breath of fresh air.

The Great Sand Dunes! Let me tell you I did not want to leave. Although I can't say I'm very good and "sandboarding" I was having a ton of fun

The Grand Canyon! We went camping on the dessert view side where it's first come first serve, and had a blast. We did a sunrise hike one morning which was beautiful, but we almost got mowed over by some ram sprinting down the side of the canyon. I saw him running along the ridge and was taking pictures, until I realized he was sprinting toward us. Last picture I took of him is the second one. We also got to watch the sun set over the grand canyon from the dessert view watch tower.

Arches! The park isn't very big, we hiked pretty much every trail there haha. It was awesome though I love the dessert landscape and all the cool rocks!

Carlsbad caverns! We walked around outside and in the caves. My favorite part was when we took a tour that took you way back in the caves, and for 5 minutes we turned our flashlights of and got to sit there in total darkness

Saguaro national park! Got to watch the sunset over the saguaros and walk around a little even though it was 103 degrees

Redwoods National Park! A beautiful fairy land to endlessly explore! I enjoyed climbing all over the trees, and camping in a gorgeous secluded forest. Trees are so big you can drive your car underneath them! The variety of shades of green are so lovely to soak in.

Pinnacles National Park! It was super hot in august, but the views were so worth it. One of the most underrated national parks, there are beautiful views to hike to up high to, or cool fascinating caves to climb around in. The stars are gorgeous and the small size of the park feels so intimate.

Joshua Tree National Park! The desert sky is truly like no other! The sunrises, the sunsets, the stars, I could stare at it forever! Obviously incredibly hot in August I still managed to enjoy camping there and going on some very minor hikes. While camping, we were surrounded by howling coyotes one night, but they never disturbed us, just gave us a bit of a fright. Considering its the desert, the variety of landscape to see is so marvelous, I cannot recommend this park enough.

Death Valley National Park! The colors! I've never seen such a colorful yet desolate landscape. It felt like walking around on another planet.

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park! Talk about another world! These trees are the most towering and majestic trees I've ever seen. As you can see in the pictures, I simply wanted to hug them and climb around in them all day. I've never felt so one with nature as when exploring this landscape.

Yosemite National Park! As beautiful as everyone says, there's a reason it's so popular. One of the hardest hikes I've done was the upper yosemite falls hike, and it was worth every step.
